Please describe your blog

My wife and I have been blogging on various topics for about a year. We did so much travel in 2007 (Italy; Des Moines, Iowa; Switzerland and France; Baltimore; Virginia; and a cruise to Bahamas, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), we thought we should start blogging about our experiences. We have many more trips planned for 2008 (Ireland in February, Paris in June and some exciting stuff for the fall).

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

To catalogue our journey for ourselves, but to provide practical information (and photos) to others who may be considering their own travels.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Blogger. No particular reason. Just stumbled on it and it seemed to work for us.

What do you blog the most about?

The Caribbean because we go there so often.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Not enough content

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

? I don't know.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

We have ads, but can't say we're really making any money. This wasn't a primary consideration for us.

How long have you been blogging?

Just Another Travel Blog just launched. We launched a destination wedding how to blog about a year ago (http://ultimatedestinationweddings.blogspot.com/).

About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?

Less than one.

Do you use Digg, and why or why not?

Not yet. Lazy I guess.

Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?

No. Never heard of it.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Link exchanges and message boards.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

Taking yourself too seriously.

Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?

Not yet, but that will probably happen soon.
