So-Cal Solar blog is a blog that covers valuable information about alternative energy, mainly solar power. We blog about the benefits of solar as well as educate visitors about solar power and how it solar power works.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
We are trying to educate anyone that wants to know more about solar energy and other forms of alternative energy.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
We use wordpress because the admin dashboard is user friendly and we fill most internet users are use to wordpress layouts.
What do you blog the most about?
We blog about Solar Energy and other forms of alternative energy the most.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
We dislike blogs that are just used for advertising and offer nothing useful to people that visit them.

1. Make sure blog post offer useful and valuable information 2. Keep blog content fresh and update constantly 3. Don't place a ridiculous amount of ads on a blog 4. Be sure to site and give credit for any information used from another source 5. Use a simple and easy to follow layout. The easier your blog is to read the better

1. Adult content 2. Anything that isn't relevant to Solar and Alternative energy
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
We don't start blogging to make money.
How long have you been blogging?
We are new to blogging but we have experienced bloggers on our staff that offer expert advice on the subject.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
1 hour per day is spent on blogging for now. As we go forward that amount of time should increase.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
We aren't tracking RSS feeds currently. We will be soon.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
We use Digg as a great source of information and news in certain categories.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
We use stumble upon to find sites in categories that interest us that we might have never found otherwise.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Since we have a web presence we feel blogging and PPC are great for promoting our business. Blogging offers a way for us to have valuable information that people are looking for.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
We would post a blog on sites that are about alternative energy to help spread the word.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
We waited too long to revamp our web presence (recent redesign). Our warning would be, for anyone with a web based business to spend the resources necessary to make the most out of your website.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
1. Wordpress Blog, offers tons of resources and information for bloggers using wordpress. 2. Google Blogs, offers great information and help for people interested in improving their web presence through SEO and PPC.
