A site to discover the beauty in nature, including photos, notes and short essays about the natural world mostly in California and nearby locals. Written from the perspective of a naturalist.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Blogs where most links are to sell items are not blogs, but ads. I've found this type listed under blog directories but they have just cut and pasted information from elsewhere, and posted links to stores. Quite a waste of bandwidth and my time!

Give five of your best blogging tips.

Write things yourself and be passionate about your topic. Make your site visually appealing, with nothing blinking or flashing, just use good colors and design. Simple is nice. Stay on your topic, don't ramble: a new visitor to your site may not return as the recent topics are so far from your norm.
