Please describe your blog

My blog takes a satirical look at self help books and systems, basically it is an attempt to take a lighthearted jab at the industry as a whole. I have actually learned a great deal from several of these systems but I have also found much to be laughed at along the way. More than anything this is me laughing at my own efforts at self-improvement over the years.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

My main purpose is to provide a creative outlet for myself. I have written several novels, one of which I am attempting to get published. I enjoy all aspects of writing and this seemed to be a logical progression.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

I use blogspot mostly because my kids used it long before me.

What do you blog the most about?

This is it.

I am new to this but I have had a good amount of traffic so far which I attribute to new posts entered daily. I look forward to creating my post of the day and hoping for comments either written in my blog or through email regarding my latest post.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No, just for fun but I am not opposed to the concept. :)

I spend about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

No not yet but I will be.

No, just heard about it.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

So far a mass email to friends and family along with registering on a few lists.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

I probably should have put a week of posts up before announcing it to everybody. The problem was, I was too excited about my first few posts and wanted everyone to see them.
