By Interviewer at 05/30/07 09:57

What is the name of your Blog?

Rugger Blog

What is your name?

Jason

Where are you from? (include country, state and/or city)

Michigan (USA)

What is your current age or age range?

31

Please describe your blog

Rugger Blog gives you the latest world rugby news & opinion from an American point of view.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

Kill boredom. Plus I really enjoy rugby.

What do you blog the most about?

In the past I've focused on such sports as Mixed Martial Arts & Wrestling and from time to time, I still contribute to those style of blogs. I've also done some political blogging but that has taken a back seat because I'm currently running for political office. I enjoy blogging about the sport of Rugby and my hope is that more people in the U.S. will read my blog and become interested in the sport.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Conservative political blogs.

Give five of your best blogging tips.

1.Be true to yourself 2.Never talk down to your readers 3.Keep the information fresh 4.Never worry about the amount of "visitors" your blog receives 5.Sorry, thats only 4 tips. I'm sure if I had a 5th tip, it would be mind blowing, but I don't.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Religion

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

Nope

How long have you been blogging?

Since 2002. Before that I was a "columnist" on several big pro wrestling websites. I love the freedom of blogging on your own site without worrying about someone editing your words.

About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?

Most days about an hour. If I get REAL bored at work, possibly more.

Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?

I have RSS news feeds on my site so my readers may see the latest Rugby news. However, I rarely pay much attention to those.

Do you use Digg, and why or why not?

I use to but could care less about Digg now.

Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?

Stumblewhat?

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

I generally try to "blogroll" with those who have similiar interests. I'm not one to spam though.

If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?

[404 Check: was link to http:/ / LastFreeVoice. com, anchor: Last Free Voice] . A very good political blog from a "libertarian" point of view. I absolutely enjoy reading that blog.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

None, I'm flawless.

What are your top five blogging site picks and why?

1. [404 Check: was link to http:/ / LastFreeVoice. com, anchor: Last Free Voice] - Best libertarian blog on the net

2. [404 Check: was link to http:/ / MMAHQ. com, anchor: Mixed Martial Arts blog] - This is a popular Mixed Martial Arts blog that I contribute to from time to time. Always a great read and seems to attract very smart fight fans.

3. Third Party Watch - As a person who belongs to a Third Party in the USA (Libertarian Party), I enjoy the fair coverage this blog brings.

4. South African Rugby - My wife is South African, so I've begun following South African Rugby on a regular basis. Since the U.S. doesn't have a "professional league" per say, I've found myself supporting South African clubs and this blog is a great source for all things South African Rugby.

5. [404 Check: was link to http:/ / FightOpinion. com, anchor: Fight Opinion] - Another great Mixed Martial Arts blog.

Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?

No

Will Rugger Blog Ever Be Considered Big?

Could care less. I just enjoy writing.

What is the url of your blog?
