Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) founded and led by Quaid-e-Tehreek Mr. Altaf Hussain, is the third largest political party of Pakistan and the second largest political party in the southern province of the Pakistan, Sindh. The party originated from a students organization known as All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organization (APMSO), initially as Mohajir Quami Movement in 1984 to fight for the rights of the people of urban areas of Sindh and later-on transformed into Muttahida Quami Movement in 1997 and expanded its horizons for all oppressed people of the country.
