What is the name of your Blog?

Homeschool / Home Educate In Italy

What is your name?

Sarah

Where are you from? (include country, state and/or city)

UK

Please describe your blog

Son of Thor (8) is about to be home educated after three years in Italian primary school. By his mum, a EFL teacher of twenty years, who has frequent attacks of the collywibbles when she wonders if she is up to the task. His father, the Italian Sock Dropper, was initially very much against the idea (not least cos he didn't think handcuffs would suit him), but changed his mind after yet another year of failure on the school's part to live up to his (culturally low) expectations.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

To shine a light on the process given that most are told point blank it is illegal to home educate in Italy. To the point of making you paranoid.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Blogger, cos it was the first one I tried.

What do you blog the most about?

Home education, but also EFL/ESL and the ins and outs of living in Italy, with an Italian spouse and a small Italian I produced at great personal expense.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Anything I wouldn't share even with my sister.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No. Not interested, this is a hobby and if it became work it would ruin for me.

How long have you been blogging?

On and off three years, but my new blog is the one that has really got me going.

About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?

Anything from twenty minutes to half the night.

What is the url of your blog?
