Please describe your blog

My blog started as a way to promote my handmade jewellery business, http://www.folksy.com/shops/madewithlove, but I quickly became addicted and now I write about handmade finds on the web, thrifty home and fashion tips and occasionally dinosaurs.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Blogger - it was the first one that came up on Google and it's so easy to use.

What do you blog the most about?

Mostly about my jewelry and the inspiration behind it, but also about new shops I have discovered on Folksy and Etsy and any handmade events in the Lancashire/Manchester area.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Ones that are the blogging equivalent of spam - "I've listed this", "Go buy this from me". It's so dull, for a start.

Give five of your best blogging tips.

Use pictures, blog while an idea is fresh in your mind to make it more amusing, be generous with your links, blog as odten as possible and don't take yourself too seriously.

How long have you been blogging?

Since November when I set up my jewelry business, Made With Love by Kat.

About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?

Depends - sometimes ten minutes, sometimes it could be an hour and a half.

Do you use Digg, and why or why not?

No, I don't really know a lot about it - maybe it's something to investigate for the future.

Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?

No, as above.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Craft forums are the best source of readers, and I also have my Twitter set to tweet every time I blog.
