Please describe your blog
Experimentations with prose poetry. Occasional verse. I have issues with complete sentences. Some things are genuine while others are fiction. It mostly examines the darker side of things because I think those are the interesting parts of people and relationships.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I just enjoy writing. Have been doing it since I was a teenager and never get tired of it. It's a way to challenge myself creatively. To have something tangible of my feelings to look at days, months, years later. To see how I've changed. For better or worse.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use blogger. I tried wordpress and the white/bright colors of the post interface were distracting. I think I've also tried live journal and same issue. Yahoo 360 is terrible. Can't customize at all. I had a kinda blog for several years that I made by hand in dreamweaver. But it's so much easier using an automatic method. Blogger templates used to be so easy to manipulate, even though now they're not. I liked that about them. I like that I'm always logged into it because of my gmail. Anyway I think I still understand the new blogger templates better than I do the typical PHP based ones of other platforms. Having my blog look exactly how I want it to is important to me because in addition to writing I'm a bit of an artist.
What do you blog the most about?
I mostly blog about adult relations. Not porno style or anything. Just mature interactions. And also addiction. Not just to drugs, but to other people. I think love is a rampant addiction amongst so much of the world. It's not really love, but that's what people call it.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I don't know that other blogs make me angry. I don't care for republican blogs, but they've a right to express themselves.

Write. Write. Write. and then write some more.
I hate it when a blog I enjoy suddenly goes dormant.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I'd probably never blog about my job. Anything else is fair game.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No. In fact my blog is the one website I tend to where I don't make any attempts at profit. So far anyway.
How long have you been blogging?
This blog about a year and a half. But if I count my previous manually coded blog since 2001.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
30-45 minutes per night. Some nights maybe an hour to an hour and a half. I try to write most every night. But occasionally I skip one.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I have a bunch on my personal google page. Maybe eight. And many more blogs in my yahoo bookmarks that I visit every so often.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I've been there a few times, but never found anything that caught my attention.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I see them in my referral stats once in a while. It seems like a good idea.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I'm fortunate to know a little something about SEO. so i designed some parts of my blog specifically to get some decent traffic from the search engines. But i think link trades and directories are a great way to improve your hittage.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
I'd love to be able to blog somewhere on yahoo about american politics, society and religion. You know, the way Michael Moore makes his provocative documentaries that make the whole country gasp. I'd love to be able to do that.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
I tend to write for myself. In my own little world. That doesn't generate a lot of comments. If you want input you have to write in such a way that people feel compelled to comment. You have to strive to make it about them instead of yourself. I can't do that very often, but when I'm able it can be very gratifying.
Many bloggers suffer from a severe lack of traffic. Put your topic in the title of your blog. Put your topic all over your blog. Search engines deliver traffic based on textual and linked content. If you don't tell them what you're about, they won't know.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
Waiterrant.com -- he can be a bit self-righteous at times, but he's a great writer.
RukSak - brilliant, bawdy storyteller when he makes the time.
Lonely Roads and Psycho Paths - she's a gifted writer and such a tender soul.
A Fraud Inking Muck - he's been lax lately, but when he bothers to write he usually does it quite well.
Give Me the Booger - she's consistently funny, a strong woman and a raging liberal.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
no
Is Your Blog a True Reflection of Who You Are?
Yes and no. It's most certainly a true reflection of my ability to create. Whether you like it or don't, it's all me, every word of it. Some parts are true. Others are partially true. And there are posts that are total fiction. But overall, anything I write will be a piece of myself. Sometimes I will leave that piece naked and others I may feel inclined to dress it up in fancy clothes.

I try to help people on a budget, to find the hottest styles.

Wordpress, it is simple, and I am most comfortable with it. It's the only one I've used.

Fashion, such as designer brands, designers, and my life connected to it all.

Be yourself. Don't be afraid to speak your mind. Use multimedia! People LOVE pictures. Always reply back to comments. Get lots of traffic.

Please describe your blog
It's all about Rains, a girl, who is very common. But being common is very uncommon. In this blog, you will see rains in different forms. Overall, I would say she is a girl who live at extremes. Sometimes below expectations, and sometimes above expectations. Balancing mein thoda problem hai. :-) You will get the chance to read all the extremities. But everywhere she has tried not to explore herself, as she is quiet hidden in nature. Hey, let me stop here. I guess, by this time I have not confused you....:)
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
Main purpose is to explore myself. I want to be read by someone. People are always confused in exploring me, but I know what I am. I guess my effort would be successful. If my efforts will turn out with fruitful results, I will definitely let you know. :)

NO, actually money is not the purpose. I started just to open myself...and also you can say I am inspired by someone. But, I guess there is nothing wrong if try to make hay while the sun shines.

Just 2 months. I promise I would keep blogging. I am sure you would encourage me by listing my blog on the top..:)
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Almost daily for half an hour, or an hour, or two...But depends sometimes I just feel that writing too much would make be speechless person. I live at extremes. :) I prefer to stop it for few days. Very bad for me being a writer :-) I hope my manager should not read this.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
Oh! Now you would feel like as if you are reading reply from a technology illiterate.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Hmmm...again something...which I do not know. I am a beginner in writing blogs. But, I guess few days I came across such kind of URL. I would like to explore more on this.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Everybody makes mistakes. I too have made. But more than that my experience is totally different, which generally people say one should not be like this.... I never used to take care of myself, and hence it gave abundant chance to people to take me for granted. I would always say that one should take care of himself/herself. I mean SELFISH nature. But this does not mean that you start treading on another's toes.
I have a saying on this...
I heard a woman on the beach saying to her little girl, don't be selfish; Oh! what a sad advice I would give her better, be selfish, little girl love yourself well, love yourself first, then will you love others, far far better.

My blog represents poetic wanderings. Some thoughts are actually poetry. Other thoughts are poetic prose or poetic visuals.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
My dream, by writing in different ways, is to showcase my writing skills. I would love to be "found"!!! I would love to bring poetry to the marketplace. I dream of writing poetry or articles for businesses.
What do you blog the most about?
I mainly blog poetry. But I think other thoughts make a refreshing change. At the moment, I have diverted with a few rambling comments on the old Palace Theatre in Sydney. I am hoping someone remembers.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I find the most perishable blogs are those that enjoy a subjective, vindictive lash at people and places. They cannot last.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1. Be regular. Hard to maintain, but worth trying. 2. Be different. Again, hard, because "too different" means you can't be categorised and thereby hard to find by the mighty search engine. 3. Be topical. 4. Be challenging. 5. Be aware of an audience! Relate and invite!
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
1. Celebrity lives. There is too much on this topic on the internet. 2. Crime.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I would LOVE to make some money from blogging, but feel that is an elusive dream. I don't feel my blog is commercial enough! So the answer is NO! I have made nothing! So far!

I have only been blogging just over 2 months.

I can't spend hours per day blogging. Usually, blogging time is "borrowed" time! But I still love it!

No! I haven't learnt this technical wizardry yet!

No! I haven't learnt the "ropes" of Digg yet! My impression so far is that Digg wants more technical articles. I don't offer this!

No! Again, I think this may be out of the ken of my writing style.

Still desperately searching for profitable promotional techniques.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
As yet, I feel unqualified to suggest a blog beyond the one I use now.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
The biggest mistake I have made is NOT to write regularly. It is quite a battle to do so!

Hint of Poetry is my top blogging site so far. This is a biased answer because I was invited by the webmaster there to contribute some poetry.

No!
Who would I like to take an interest in my blog?
In particular, apart from publishers of magazines, looking for articles or poetry, I am hoping some creative, enterprising businesses may consider poetry as a creative addition to their marketing.

It's somewhere between an art and a cartoon blog. I do drawings of people and handwrite words beside them which may or may not be funny.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
It's all part of a greater personal branding. I'm an artist, I paint and sell paintings through another blog - a listings based humour one. Ultimately I'm intending to make a living through blogging.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
WordPress. It's very versatile and dependable. I started on GreyMatter a long time ago, and then used Blogger which is fun and easy but infuriating despite recent improvements.
What do you blog the most about?
On American Hell most posts are focused on Love, or some twisted version of it.
On Irish KC I blog about anything remotely Irish that touches my life in Kansas City. Away from listing I strive for humour, which doesn't sound very funny, sadly.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I don't stay long enough on blogs I don't like to get angry by them. Patronising corporate ones test my patience.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1. Link liberally 2. Comment on other sites as much as possible 3. Be consistent e.g. 1 post a day every day 4. Niche - stay focused on your target, don't blog about anything unless your very personality is your niche 5. Persevere - payback in traffic or comments or money often takes over a year.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
Yes. Not quite enough but getting there. Making several thousand a year directly and indirectly from blogging

If you include all the extra-curricular activities, like reading around and commenting and following up emails etc. it's probably in the region of 10 hours a day.

Yes. About 125 via Bloglines

Yes but not that often. I'll probably use it more following the recent expansion of topics it covers.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Yes but very rarely because Opera is my browser of choice and it's a pain in the hole to have to open up a different browser just to go stumbling. That said I've been there from the beginning so I should probably build it into my routine.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Constant networking.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Whatever is currently #1 in Technorati's Top 100 - just for the traffic.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Not blogging sooner. Blogging about things that weren't my area of expertise.

Yes, many in the world of one blog which then creates tons of opportunities and resources that enrich that blog. I haven't met anyone offline through American Hell yet though it's only three months old.
