Please describe your blog

Eight family is 800 square feet--DIY home construction of a large Vermont family living small.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

The Building Brows started as a way to keep distant friends and family updated on our building progress. We developed a readership and it turned into a fun place to share what life is like in cramped quarters and how people really can make it work with peace and joy.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

I chose Blogger to start because I knew nothing about blogging and it was user friendly.

What do you blog the most about?

Our mobile home, joys and struggles, helpful family tips, God, construction/building.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Couldn't say--I don't read any that do.

Give five of your best blogging tips.

1. Consider carefully what you're about to share before you post. 2. Be consistent, if possible. 3. Be concise. 4. Don't waste all our time blogging or tweaking your blog design. 5. Have fun.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Things that are between me and someone else alone.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No, I didn't.

How long have you been blogging?

Since New Year's Day, 2005.

About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?

Way under an hour. I have too much to do to blog even close to 60 minutes!

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

Watch what you say on your blog. Others WILL misconstrue your words, meaning, and intent, and make you or your situation into something it is not. If you can avoid it, consider if you should. If not, move on and don't let it bother you knowing 99% of your readers can't possible know and understand all the intimate details of your life.
