Please describe your blog
My blog is all about one of my life's obsessions, playing guitar. It's got a mix of everything from lessons and playing tips, to instrument and gear reviews. Even some ramblings about live performances I attend. It's a work in progress, and I hope it never gets finished.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I blog for two reasons. One is to share some of the knowledge I have about guitar playing and music. I have certainly learned a lot on the internet from others who were willing to share their expertise.
The second reason I blog is the hope of making a buck or two with some affiliate marketing. I have to be honest, it's not the only reason I blog but the prospect of getting a little monetary return for my time really keeps me going. The thought of making a dollar while I sleep is pretty cool!
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use blogger. First and foremost because it's free, secondly because they give you a lot of leeway as far as what kind of affiliate advertising you can put on your blog.
What do you blog the most about?
What ever is in the fore-front of my mind at the time.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I try not to let anything make me angry. If something does I try to avoid it! Who wants to waste time with anger?
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1. Be honest
2. Be informative and to the point.
3. Be entertaining if you can, but don't get stupid silly.
4. Write about what you know, from your perspective.
5. If you don't have anything to say don't post. Don't put up a post just for the sake of getting one up every day or every week...or whatever you shoot for.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I'm not sure this applies to my blog.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I did start blogging for money making purposes, at least partly. See question 7 above.
How long have you been blogging?
With this blog about a year. I also run several adult oriented blogs that I've been doing for about 2 years. The adult blogs are solely for the purpose of making money with affiliate marketing. It is some what titillating at times though.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Some days, no time at all. Other days anywhere from 20 minutes up to a couple hours or so.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
No.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I've played around with it. All that social networking stuff gets kind of cumbersome to me. Especially if I'm only looking to get some traffic for my efforts.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I've been having success creating videos for youtube and refering people out to my blog for supplemental materials to go with the video. I also put my blog's url at the end of each of my videos.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
I'm not really a blogging groupie. I'm kind of self absorbed. I tend to think mine is the only blog.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
If I have made any, I haven't figured out what they are yet.

Like I said, I'm kind of self absorbed.
