An Italian food blog with memories, anecdotes and of course recipes.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I have more than one blog. One is professional (my work as a playwright). The food blog is a way of leaving some family history for my midwestern children who did not grow up in the midst of Italian cousins and Italian celebrations as I did. (But they certainly have been given a taste of it!)
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Don't necessarily have a "platform." My blog is musings and recipes.
What do you blog the most about?
For the food blog: relating food to memories.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I don't tend to read stuff where a person has "an ax to grind."

Photos. (Just figuring that out) Simplicity. Read other blogs. See what you like.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I would never divulge something very personal. I would never hurt someone's feelings. This is online - for the world to see.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No. I have no ads. The food blog is for fun - something that makes my heart sing. The playwrighting blog is a way of reaching out to theatres and publishers (who do occasionally read my blog).
How long have you been blogging?
Two years.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Depends. But one blog is at least an hour, (Usually longer)
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I do track - and then I don't read. I have periods of time where I catch up. Depends on the day and my workload.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
No - because all my stuff is on a "nned to know basis" and I know nothing about it.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I - just added myself to a blogroll - in general - I don't promote.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
There are some gorgeous food blogs out there and some fascinating writing ones and I have never been good at picking a favorite - anything.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Too many tages (still simplifying). Writing too personally - so it doesn't reach out to others. Just writing for the sake of getting a blog in - when in truth - I didn't have much to say.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
Don't have.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
no. Have had a few comments here and there and commented back - but no meetings.
