This blog is a celebration of American Regional food traditions through recipes and cooking tips.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

To inform the public at large about the wonderful American Food Traditions that exist in the United States and to gain experience as a writer.

What do you blog the most about?

My blogging platform is from SquareSpace.com and I enjoy blogging (the most) about food.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Ones that are sloppy, disorganized and that don't come to the point.

1)Content should always take first place over any other considerations. 2)Be concise, yet creative 3)Search the web for blogging tips that will help you product the best blog possible 4)Try to imagine who is out there reading your stuff 5)Be yourself in your writing

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Anything that doesn't relate to food.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

I started blogging for self-expression and while I do feature some e-commerce on my site, it is not the primary reason I blog. No, I am not making ends meet.

No

Do you use Digg, and why or why not?

Yes, I find it a wonderful site to view ideas and opinions

Yes, the same reason as Digg

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Basically register with blog directories and keep posting blogs of consistent quality.

If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?

There's too many I like, so it's hard to say.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

Before exposing your blog to the world, try to have a mental picture of what you want to say.

What are your top five blogging site picks and why?

Serious Eats--it covers a variety of food subjects Food Porn Watch--lists all food blog updates Feedburner--always good info on publicizing your site The Food Museum--good, witty posts Crash Test Kitchen--a good example how to integrate video & podcast into your blog
