Please describe your blog

A simple, fun loving blog following my adventures with food. The page includes pictures and tips/tweaks that I find along the way.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

To catalog recipes, share my love of food and cooking, encourage other people to cook at home and to work on my writing skills.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Blogger. I like the integration with the rest of the Google family of tools. For someone with no HTML knowledge, the templates and tools are easy to use and most importantly, do what I want.

What do you blog the most about?

Cooking. Food. Cooking.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

A blog that has a high PR, but provides no useful information. Poor design, there are too many free tools out there.

Give five of your best blogging tips.

Post daily. Write about what you love, trust me someone else loves it too. Stop lurking in other blogs/forums and start commenting and posting. Use the spell check. Read books and love words.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Lies.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No.

Just starting to use RSS. Most likely 5-10

Just installed it in Firefox!

Just downloaded.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Just the basics- Good content Feed burning Word of mouth Posting/commenting

If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?

Wired. I read it as much if not more that any news site.

What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?

I am too new and still making mistakes. Maybe don't bite off more than you can chew?
