What is your name?

Sydney, Australia
What is your current age or age range?

Please describe your blog
Offically: 'Stories from the air: A chronicle of the author's aviation life as a student pilot and thoughts on the industry.'
But really it's just a place for me to describe me feelings and thoughts, something that I can look back on in future years and reminisce, hopefully others will find it interesting and informative too.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
My weapon of choice is blogger, its a Google product, and I am biased to that. It is also one of the more common blog hosting sights. It is relatively easy to use and pretty customisable without needing bucketloads of HTML knowledge
What do you blog the most about?
Aviation obviously. My experiences, my mistakes, my thoughts on the industry, my hopes for my future and the industry's future. A mixture of reality and idealism.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1. Do it for yourself, there are so many blogs out there and so many people reading blogs a target audience is hard to pick up. Write something you would want to read and enjoy it. 2. Don't feel pressured to write. It's meant to be fun, a relaxation, a dumping ground for ideas. If your not in the mood leave it. Save is your friend, if you get half way through and are stuck, come back to it. 3. Keep the look simple. No need for flashy over the top graphics. Keep each of your posts in a similar style so readers know what to expect. 4. Get your blog out there, post to directories like this one, any forums you are part of set your blog as the 'website' in your profile. E-mail other bloggers and ask to trade links, most will be happy to if you have a quality blog. 5. Have fun. Blogging is all about yourself and your enjoyment.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
It's hard to say. I try to stay away from issues that may offend, developing news stories etc.
Anything really is fair game, as long as what I say I can back up.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I didn't, and I'm not making money. I may one day put some text adds around the page, a few cents here and there would be nice but really my blog isn't about money, it's not costing me anything so why bother.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I track a range of blogs, The Australian breaking news and aviation news and a couple of Russian news agencies, I love the country and there news is... interesting... to say the least.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
What is digg? I am a bit of a technophobe and struggle to use the latest and greatest stuff, although I am on Twitter. I might look up digg now
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
See above
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Crikey, Australian Aviation or any of the big newspapers (not really blogs I know but hey)
