Please give us a short summary of your website?

My blog details my expat journey from the suburbs of Philadelphia to the seaside city of Necochea, Argentina, tracing my steps as I discover the joys, difficulties and frustrations of picking up and moving a world away. I also share my musings and reflections on Argentine culture and current events from the perspective of a foreigner.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I was looking for a way to keep in touch with family and friends back home, and I thought a blog would be the best way to go about it.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My adopted home, the city of Necochea, is a beach resort located on the Atlantic coast of Argentina. The agricultural zone just outside the city is filled with sunflowers, one of the area's primary crops, hence the name "Seashells and Sunflowers."

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Most expat blogs about Argentina focus on life and happenings in the city of Buenos Aires, the epicenter of expat activity in the country. My blog is different because I am based in a relatively small city with no expat community. I think this gives me a different take on the expat experience!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth and making connections with other bloggers in my niche have been the two most successful methods.
