What is the purpose of your blog?
We try and give updates on Houston electric rate information as it is past to us from the Public Utility Commission of Texas. We also provide information on affordable energy choices in the Houston TX area.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I am trying to inform the public in Houston of ways to save money on their electricity bill by taking advantage of things like, the low income Lite-Up Texas program as well as other affordable energy ideas.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use wordpress because it is easy to keep track of everything.
What do you blog the most about?
I mainly just blog about affordable energy choices for consumers. I really don't delve outside of this subject matter.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I hate blogs that have pop up ads and outdated links that go to a "page cannot be displayed" message are anything similar to that scenario.

Always do a spell check. Read your blog article through atleast 4 times befire you publish it.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I would never blog about porn or Hillary Clinton in a positive fashion.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I do blog for the purpose of making money and as a way to have something to do besides brainless TV watching.
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for 3 years now.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
I spend about 4 hours a day blogging. No more then that or my wife would kill me.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I track about 10 different RSS feeds.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I use Digg because its easy to find new and interesting sites and news stories.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I like the way you can stumble from one random site to the next. Pretty fun to do that type of thing.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I like to put small blog ads on other blogs related to my blog.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
I would like to blog on the economist because that subject matter is most interesting to me. I don't know if I would have the expertise to do it but I would like to be able to.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
I have written many blog pages that need to have been run through a spell checker. Be sure to spell check before you publish.
