Please describe your blog
The tag line used to be "Musings of a disgruntled suburbanite." It changed to cover outdoors activities in North Georgia and beyond, but I'm still stuck in the 'burbs battling traffic every chance I get to get outside and play. I cover my favorite actiities, namely: hiking, fishing, skiing, and paddling.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I'm just trying to have a little fun here, but I created OutdoorsBlogger.com so that others can too. With so many great blogs spread across the blogsphere, I thought it might be a good idea to give people a chance to host their outdoors blogs all in one place, with some cool features too.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
We use Wordpress Multi User, or "WPMU" in blog-speak. It allows anybody to sign up for a wordpress blog, with all the great features you'd expect from wordpress. We've modified it a bit to allow a blogger directory, site wide tags, and a cool post mashup on google maps.
What do you blog the most about?
hiking and fishing, with a bunch of outdoors sports mixed in between.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
SPAMMERS! If I could find just one of them, and go toe to toe, it would make all I do to stop them on ODB.com worth it. So if any of you low life, insignificant, blood sucking, waste of DNA spammers are reading... you now know where to find me if you want to dance.

Do it frequently, write about what you love, don't be formal, add pictures, and don't take yourself too seriously - I won't.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Make-up, Britney, Brad, or anybody who hates puppies.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No.
How long have you been blogging?
I started OutdoorsBlogger.com a couple months ago, but I've been blogging for business for two years now.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
one.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I do, using google reader. I have about two dozen that I actually read consistantly.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
No, but I should.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No, but I really should.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Trading with other's blog rolls, and a little link baiting when possible.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Get Outdoors' GoBlog - It's traffic is huge, the guys are funny, and they have fishing porn... need I say more?
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
Not yet, but we're new. I would imagine that once we have dozens or hundreds of bloggers, I could get down with a few folks in my area.
Do toilets really swirl the other way in the Southern hemisphere?
I think I'm going to have to go and see for myself, I just can't believe it no matter how many people tell me so.
