A blog about data warehousing, correlation databases, associative and incremental queries, value-based storage, metadata, on-the-fly indexing, automatic data-driven schemes, BI tools, data mining, visual mapping, pattern recognition, and the limitations of standard SQL in answering "queries from Hell." Or, how to discover what you don't know you don't know.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

Helping people use advanced data warehouse technology to answer the questions they can't answer with relational or column oriented databases, or with data warehouse appliances.

What blogging platform do you do and why?

Blogger. It rocks.

What do you blog the most about?

Ad hoc analysis - asking new questions based on the answers to previous questions.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

I'm too good-natured to get angry very often. :-)

Be yourself. Tell it straight. Know what you're talking about. Be interesting. Have a point of view.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?

Subprime mortgages, acai berries, internet pharmacies.

I blog to help people find answers through business intelligence and advanced data analytics.

How long have you been blogging?

About a year.

Not quite as many as I should.

Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?

Yes, but I'm not sure I want to share that right now.

Do you use Digg, and why or why not?

Absolutely, it helps spread the word.

Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?

Same as for Digg.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Word-of-blogger promotion, SEO.
