A blog that offers cheap laughs in the form of cynical commentary on life; inspiration in the form of well-written observations; and knowledge in the form of hysterical rants about mankind.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
It started out as my personal online diary. I'm a professional writer, so I find that I needed someplace I could write where I'd get some personal fulfillment. My friends kept up with it and got on me when I didn't post, so I thought I'd go with it, start posting daily and try to optimize it.
What do you blog the most about?
Sometimes I rant, sometimes I rave. Sometimes i tell stupid jokes and sometimes I discuss current news. What I write is based solely on what events have transpired in my life that day.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
None. One thing that is still good about our country is freedom of speech. I may not agree with what somoene has to say in their blog...but then all I have to do is push the 'X' at the top of the page and I don't have to see it anymore.
Or I can comment and tell them that I think their blog is shit.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1) Write every day 2) Have a topic or a reason for your post. Just writing aimlessly is boring to readers. 3) Pictures 4) Be opinionated, say what you think. The more controversial you are the more you may get read. 5) Adsense
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I never mention people's names, nor do I blog about my family. Beyond that, anyone and anything is fair game.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I started blogging as a personal outlet. However if I can make a few bucks off it, that'd be great too. I just started trying to monetize it, so I'll let you know.
How long have you been blogging?
A couple of years. I was born to blog.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
At the moment I spend less than an hour on my personal blog. I also blog professionally for several sites, and I try to at least spend an hour a day on those blogs.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I track a few here and there, mostly on a professional topic.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I do sometimes.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I don't...I have no clue what it is. Guess I'll need to look it up.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Please hold...I'm still learning that stuff.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
My own. Because I crack myself up and truly I gain a sense of personal satisfaction from it.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
There are so many, that they would never fit in this little box.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
Post secret because it always makes me feel better about my life and My Brain Says Rage because they are so non-P.C. and that makes me laugh.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
Nope...not looking to make friends.
