Please describe your blog
An informative and sometimes humorous look at the beauty culture we live in. I took my love of cosmetics and fashion, threw in my strange sense of humor, stirred gently....and there you have it.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I am a writer by profession. By blogging I get to show a different aspect of my personality which I channel through a character called Cult Diva. I just take dictation and do all the research for posts. She gets to lay around and think of pithy things to say.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use Blogger. It's the first one I've ever used, so I really don't have anything to compare it to.
What do you blog the most about?
Clothes, hair and skin care.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Judgemental political or religious ones. I like to learn and am open to new ideas, but not if you sell the idea as the only way to rationally think or act.

Post good content. Read and re-read; then read again. Spell check. Make friends with other bloggers in your interest catagory. Comment on their blogs.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Politics, religion.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No and no.
How long have you been blogging?
Two months.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
At least four if not longer
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I have no idea what those are.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I do use Digg, recommended through a blogging site.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I did use Stumbleupon, but removed my blog as they had catagorized it as "porn" and would not help me remove the tag. I tried several times before I finally gave up and pulled it.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Steadily adding blog to blog rolls, directories, SEO's. I spend at least an hour a day researching how to promote my blog.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Harper's Bazaar or Vogue. They totally inspire me!
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Don't be disappointed when your family and friends have no interest in your blog and never read or promote it in anyway. It's no reflection on your talent.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
So far my favorite, and I have only one at this time, is http://www.fakekarl.blogspot.com--It's a blog by "Karl Lagerfeld" that is probably the funniest thing I have ever read. I actually did a post about it on my blog.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
A creepy married guy at my gym--ugh.
