The Wilderness Cooking blog is about sharing my passion for cooking on backpacking and canoe trips.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
The goal of the wilderness cooking blog is to educate people about cooking a preserving foods for wilderness trips where refrigeration is not available.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use Word Press because it was already intergrated into my hosting account.
What do you blog the most about?
Food finds and techniques related to outdoor cooking.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Blogs that are attackful and slanderous are quite disappointing.

1.) Write in a friendly manner 2.) Pay attention to spelling especially people's names 3.) Keep it up-to-date 4.) Keep on top of blog spam 5.) Thank people for their comments
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I would never blog about politics or religion.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
Not exactly, however my publisher recommended that I blog to promote my wilderness cookbook. I haven't really done much blogging to promote that.
How long have you been blogging?
Under a year.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
I spend about 1 hour a month blogging. I'm not a daily blogger.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
Yes. I track about 10 feeds daily.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
No. No reason.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No. No reason.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Participating on discussion forums and my websites are my best promotional tools. Print advertising still has a place in that as well.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
My own because it is what I know best and a reflection of who I am.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Make sure you don't leave blog comments open or you will get a lot of spam.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
I don't really have a top 5. Love in a Tent is a great blog though.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
No.
