Why Chef Crush? Because cooking makes a person cute and sometimes even sexy! We love good food, and we totally crush on the people who cook it for us. These dreamy chefs make us feel all tingly inside, like we’re back in junior high flipping through the glossy pages of our teen magazines.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
We're just flipping the bird at snobby, elitist foodies with no sense of humor. We truly love food, but we don't think our opinions make us experts and we don't take ourselves too seriously. At the same time, we want to promote and support those chefs who rock our taste buds.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
WordPress. It's just so easy to use.
What do you blog the most about?
Food and the people who cook it for us.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
People who take themselves too seriously but don't have the knowledge or cojones to back their egos.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Don't say anything about someone on your blog that you wouldn't say to their face. It will come back to haunt you, guaranteed.
Don't spend more time on promotion than you do on writing. Link exchanges and blog directories are great, but if your blog sucks, no amount of promotion will help.
Eh. Those are the two best ones I can think of. Lol.
How long have you been blogging?
Over four years, but ChefCrush.com is a new endeavor.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Completely depends. I maintain a total of five blogs, so sometimes I spend a whole day (8-12 hours) blogging and other times I need a day off.
