My blog has thoughts and explorations of my art practice, and on the contemporary art world
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
My blog is to help others to understand the complex process of making art, and how life experiences contribute to art. Most of all I like to think critically about art and what it can mean in terms visual culture.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use blogspot because it is simple and yet easy to use. I think there are other ways that I could blog but I like blogspot because it works well for what I'm trying to accomplish.
What do you blog the most about?
I blog mostly about the African American art. As a African American artist I often encounter the lack or inability for others to interpret the "other" so it's my way to articulate what my art is about. I also writing about how my experiences contribute to my art and how I see art in general. My blog gives me the opportunity to really express my ideas and thoughts that rarely get to be shared.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I'm not sure. I don't think I've seen any blogs that make me angry. I'm sure I've seen blogs that I don't approve of or that I'd never visit again but it doesn't make me angry. Being angry is sometimes not worth it.

What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
This is difficult to answer because you don't want to EVER say NEVER. Most of what I blog about has relationships with other topics so I don't know there are things I don't blog about. I would say things like astrology or astronomy, which are things I don't look at because I'm a Christian.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No, I didn't start blogging to make money. I actually wasn't aware that you could make money on a blog. My purpose was to have a platform to share my thoughts, and also my graduate studies required it as well.
How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for over a year.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
I usually spend 2-3 hours blogging when I do blog. I don't necessarily do it daily, but regularly.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
Not so much.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
I don't know what that is.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
I don't know what that is.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I haven't really tried to promote my blog.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
I would post it on a blog of a art publication(not sure which one yet), but because I would like people who are interested in my topic to have access to it.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
I'm sure I've made some but I'm not sure which ones to tell.
