Please describe your blog
The Consumer Maven Blog is written by a consumer behavior marketing expert who develops marketing strategies based on understanding buying behavior and shopping experiences. The focus of the Consumer Maven is simply this: that the customer experience defines the brand.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
To provide a professional view of the shopping experience by one who implements and designs and evaluates hopefully stellar shopping experiences for clients. I also evaluate bad and ugly shopping experiences for clients who realize they need to clean up their act or lose customers.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Typepad, Wordpress, and Blogger are platforms I've used. My favorite is Typepad for it's features (promotion and template selection) and Wordpress for creating a very visually easy to read font content area.
What do you blog the most about?
Business, consumerism, cultural issues, (I have several blogs), social commentary, and the like.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Those which demean others and/or make assumptions based on stereotypes and ignorance.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Be honest. Know the facts before blogging. Honor opinions that differ from your own. Enjoy what you do and blog only when you are inspired and passionate, otherwise the blog will be boring.

Very personal issues about friends and anything told to me in confidence.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No. But I have started blogging for business purposes but it's not a money making venture in that I wouldn't be able to support myself, much less in the manner in which I'd like to live.
